Welcome to the World of 3D Design with Code!
Have you ever wondered if it is possible to code something you can touch?? Well it is!! Get ready to explore the next level of 3D design and printing with our free 1 hour virtual lesson on Design with Code. You will be introduced to TinkerCAD Codeblocks and during the lesson will start using loops, variables, and other elements of computational thinking to create unique designs. After the class you can continue designing in 3D and will have the opportunity to send us your 3D design for printing. (Nominal fee of 3chf /hour (print time) for printing.)
During our free 1 hour introductory lesson, you will :
- Play with code in order to visualize how to make a pattern and to see what happens when randomness is applied to logic
- Manipulate shapes and enhance design using loops and variables
- Combine CAD and code to make something unique to 3D print or create an animated GIF!
Ages: 9+.
Course Level: Beginner. Block programming experience helpful (Ex. Scratch, Makecode, MBlock).
Course Language: English.
Location: Distance learning from your home computer.
Cost: Free (Select one from 4 available sessions).
Resources: For this virtual learning experience you will need a personal computer (Mac, Windows, Chromebook, etc) with access to the internet.
