Course description - Mechanical Service IRB 6710-6740

General objectives

The goal of the course is for the participant to learn how to perform mechanical service and repairs on the robot. 

Course objectives

After completing the course, you will have knowledge of the following: 

• Replacement of mechanical parts 
• Perform preventive maintenance 
• Perform fine calibration of the robot 

Participant 

The course is aimed at service engineers and personnel performing mechanical service.

Prior knowledge 

The participant needs to have experience in mechanical service and repairs 

Contents 

• Safety
• Perform maintenance and repairs as a team
• Replacing gearbox on axis-1 and axis-2
• Change of wrist
• Replacement axis-5 engine
• Balancing cylinder replacement
• Preventive maintenance
• Calibration
• Includes the robot models IRB 6710 to IRB 6740

Course type 

The course is teacher-led. About 90% of the course consists of mechanical disassembly and assembly 

Course length 

The course lasts for 4 days.
