The Chinese Bridge Summer Camp is an educational and cultural trip subsidized and organized by the Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban. Since 2009, the Confucius Institute Munich has been conducting this special China trip. Participants gain intercultural experiences, experiencing the foreign culture directly and authentically.

All interested individuals between the ages of 16 and 30 in the Bavarian region who are learning Chinese either in school or in their leisure time (with no Chinese background) can apply. Proof of language proficiency must be provided at the time of application. The number of participants is limited.

The Chinese Bridge Summer Camp is an educational and cultural trip organized by Beijing Foreign Studies University. The Confucius Institute Munich has been organizing this special trip to China since 2009. The participants gain intercultural experience and experience the foreign culture directly and authentically.

All students between the ages of 15 and 19 who are learning or would like to learn Chinese at school or in their free time (not of Chinese origin) can apply. The prerequisite is the HSK1 or YCT certificate. If you have not yet taken a language exam, please register for the exam and let us know the exam date when you register for the Summer Camp. The number of participants is limited.

Additionally, only applicants who have not participated in a summer camp of another Confucius Institute in the past 3 years are eligible.

The Summer Camp 2026 will take place for students in August 2026, with a 2-week trip to Beijing and Hangzhou.
The exact travel dates will be announced later.
