Language carries warmth, culture takes shape

On the occasion of UN Chinese Language Day, the Confucius Institute Munich invites you to experience both: here, language is not only learned, but brought to life through art, books, film, personal exchange, and a unique atmosphere.

Initiated by the United Nations, this day stands for cultural diversity, multilingualism, and intercultural dialogue. To mark the occasion, the Confucius Institute Munich will open its doors on April 25, 2026, for a special format of encounter:

An Art & Culture Bazaar that makes language tangible as a lived part of culture.

As part of our network, we warmly invite you to actively participate in the bazaar and offer your own books or decorative items related to China.

To ensure everything can be well prepared, we kindly ask you to follow these steps:

1. Register here
2. Send a brief overview of the items you wish to offer no later than 7 days before the event to: [email protected]
3. Drop off your items during the event week during office hours at the institute

Small notes:

We look forward to your books as well as decorative and cultural items related to China; clothing is not desired.

Please also note that there are no parking spaces directly at the institute. Short-term unloading on site is possible. Afterwards, please use the parking options at Edeka, Lidl, or the Pasing Arcaden.
