We warmly invite you to a special Alumni and Friends Event of the Confucius Institute Munich: the opening reception of the exhibition “Begegnung 遇见”.

The exhibition brings together the artists Gabriele Kubitschek, Nelly Ma and Ran Li, creating a dialogue between painting, photography and Chinese calligraphy. Under the guiding theme of encounter, different cultural backgrounds, life experiences and artistic expressions come together, offering new perspectives on what connects us despite our differences.

The exhibition explores encounters between East and West, between generations, memories and personal experiences. The artworks invite visitors to pause, look more closely and discover unexpected connections while engaging with diverse artistic traditions and perspectives.

During the opening reception, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists, learn more about their work and enjoy conversations in a relaxed atmosphere with complimentary refreshments.

The exhibition will remain on display at the Confucius Institute Munich until 31 December 2026 and can be visited during regular opening hours (Mo-Fr. 10am - 5pm).
