Inspired by the legendary Disney Imagineers—who use animatronics to create lifelike characters in theme parks—this camp gives kids the chance to craft their own robotic creatures using the magic of technology and imagination.
In this one-of-a-kind camp, young creators will design and build their very own animatronic robot chatacters, just like the ones used in famous attractions at Disney parks! Using simple materials like cardboard, and powered by micro:bit and AI software, campers will bring their creations to life with multi degrees of movement:
With the help of servo motors and an easy-to-use face tracking app, your creature will respond to you in real-time, adding a interactive element to the classic animatronic figures in your favorite amusement park rides. Turn the robots head to follow yours. Or control its mouth to talk with you.
But no two creatures are alike! Personalize your animatronic character with unique features—add colorful eyes, quirky facial expressions, and anything else your imagination can dream up. Whether you want to create a friendly robot, a mythical creature, or something straight out of a sci-fi movie, this camp is all about bringing your vision to life!
