Introductory Game Developer Course with Godot

  • Learn to Code with Godot — The Most Cutting-Edge Tool in Game Development Today!
  • Taught by an experienced game designer with a Master's Degree in Game Development!

Start your game development journey with Godot, a powerful, flexible, and beginner-friendly game engine used by indie developers and pros alike. In this hands-on course, you'll explore everything you need to know to build your own games from scratch — whether you’re creating a retro-inspired 2D platformer or an immersive 3D adventure.

This course is ideal for kids with basic block coding or game design experience. Whether you have taken other coding classes before or are comfortable with 3D modeling, animation, and more complex game mechanics, and are willing to invest more time and effort into improving for game design skills then this course is for you!

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to navigate the Godot editor like a pro to make a game from scratch

  • Use essential tools for designing game worlds

  • Understand Godot’s unique Node and Scene system

  • Work with 2D and 3D assets

  • Script gameplay behaviors with GDScript, Godot’s built-in coding language

  • Create a basic interactive game from start to finish

  • Develop foundations for genres like RPGs, platformers, and survival games

What is GDScript?

GDScript evolved as a custom scripting language to be used with the Godot computer (and mobile device) Game engine, and for those people who look beyond the real world, it also supports Virtual Reality.

GDScript is easy to learn with a syntax similar to Python where the code is indented rather than using lots of brackets and semicolons.
