Operator – 2 Days


The goal of this course is to provide students who have little or no prior exposure to robot technology, knowledge and confidence on how to operate the robot using the teach pendant.


Topics Include:
 Safety precautions used while programming and program execution.
 Operating controls and indicators on the robot controller.
 Instruction identification and program flow.
 Program and positional modification techniques


Course Objectives
After successfully completing the course, the participant should be able to:
 Practice all areas of safety as it pertains to the robot.
 Properly start-up, operate and shut down the robot.
 Properly identify and recover from robot errors.
 Perform program storage and retrieval.
 Manual and program control of inputs and outputs.
 Use Tool Center Point data.
 Editing of positions and basic programs.
 Understand basic programming theory.
 Identify the main areas of the robot system.


Student Profile
This course is intended for people that are required to op-erate the robot after initially being programmed. Persons attending this course do not require previous robot and programming experience

There are no prerequisites to attending this introductory level class
