Robotic Mini Golf Makers Camp (Ages 8–12)
In this hands-on robotics camp, kids become inventors, designers, and engineers as they build their own robot-powered mini golf course! Using micro:bit controllers, simple motors, sensors, and lots of craft materials, campers will design interactive obstacles that move, react, and respond when a golf ball rolls by.
Throughout the camp, students will:

Learn beginner-friendly coding with micro:bits

Build simple robots and mechanisms (spinners, gates, ramps, traps, and more!)

Use sensors, lights, and sounds to create interactive obstacles

Design and decorate imaginative, hand-made mini golf holes

Test, improve, and remix their ideas through playful experimentation

Collaborate with teammates and showcase their creations
- Have the option to incorporate digital design skills and advanced fabrication tools like lasercutting and 3D printing
No prior coding or robotics experience is needed—just curiosity and creativity! By the end of the camp, kids will combine all their obstacles into a fully playable robotic mini golf course and invite others to try it out.
This camp blends STEM learning, art, and imaginative play, helping kids build confidence with technology while having a ton of fun.
