Current Course Project

Get ready for VEX Full Volume!

This program offers beginner through advanced participants robotics experiences centered around the VEX IQ Competition, a globally recognized robotics challenge. Throughout our weekly sessions, groups of 2-4 students will collaborate on the creation, construction, and programming of a robot aimed at maximizing their score in the current season's game. To conquer the challenge, they'll need to craft an optimal strategy and robot design.

This initiative fosters the growth of vital skills such as teamwork, critical thinking, project management, and effective communication. Students will:

• Acquire knowledge in coding a robot drivetrain, intake, and arm systems to enable autonomous operations, followed by practical application through the development of a VEXcode IQ project for participation in an Autonomous Coding Skills Match.

• Explore the various sensors integrated into their robot, including the Bumper Switch, Touch LED, Optical Sensor, and Distance Sensor, understanding their individual functionalities. Implement this knowledge by running a sample project to assess the sensors' capabilities, culminating in participation in a Robot Skills Challenge that integrates the entire unit's learning. 

VexIQ 23/34 Official Competition: Full Volume!!

TechLabs is now an offical Event Provider for the VEXIQ Robotics in Switzerland. Highly motivated students can focus their efforts on preparing a robot to compete in the 23/24 VexIQ Robotics challenge held in April 2024. This experience is fun for beginners and can challenge our older and more experienced students to take advantage of the fact that VEXIQ allows you to build complex robots with tons of motors (12 ports!), advanced gears and pulley systems, high-tech sensors, and enhanced controllability.
