On your mark, get set, GO!
Race on over to TechLabs for a special chance to be a part of Basel's most fun Soapbox Derby Racing Team! Together we learn about physics, design, woodworking, and engineering as we prototype, design, and construct a soapbox derby car tricked out with a cool design and high-tech electronics.
Participants have the opportunity to be a part of the TechLabs racing team entering the official Basler Seifenkistenrennen (Official race date 25. August 2023 More info about the race is here:

Students will get to
- Construct a Soap Box Derby car for the Seifenkistenrennen (1-3 team members will be selected by piers to drive in race).
- Make friends and be part of a racing team
- Develop their maker skills and hone their creativity
- Design and build a car and team uniform
- Participate in a variety of fun, hands-on STEM projects
