More and more providers offer voice transmissions using data networks (Voice over IP). What is behind it? What are the strengths and the weaknesses of this technology? This course gives a brief but focused introduction to this current subject. VOIP relevant protocols, special features and applications will be discussed. In addition the quality of service aspects for transmissions of voice within IP networks will be presented.

Target Group / Requirements

Target group are participants from all areas who require a basic knowledge of VoIP for their day-to-day business. Basic knowledge about IP-based networks is a prerequisite.
