Kontext: The ISO/TC 269 Working Group 5 has developed an updated ISO/TS/DIS/FDIS 22163 to elevate the requirements to a higher level and achieve global consensus. This means that ISO/TS 22163:2017 has been updated to ISO 22163:2023, and IRIS Certification® Conformity Assessment: 2020 has transitioned to IRIS Certification® Performance Assessment: 2023 (IRIS Rev04). During this transition, it is crucial to quickly understand all the changes and modifications to secure your IRIS certificate, including the IRIS Quality Performance Levels such as SILVER or GOLD.
This seminar will help you gain a better understanding of the new requirements and effectively implement the changes in the most practical way. Be prepared to be impressed by the new training content! These are even more focused on the efficiency of business processes and their applicability in daily practice, making them a must for anyone striving for SILVER or GOLD.

He is an experienced IRIS certification auditor who has successfully led companies to achieve the Quality Performance Level Gold multiple times as a lead auditor. With his expertise, he has an in-depth understanding of the requirements and focus areas from the perspective of certification bodies. This allows him to provide valuable insights and practical information that few others can deliver in such depth.
Additionally, he inspires participants to effectively apply the IRIS requirements by clearly and comprehensibly explaining their benefits and interconnections. He brings a wealth of contextual information and illustrative practical examples from the railway industry. His goal is to promote a modern, user-friendly, and streamlined system of visual business processes characterized by a clear and efficient structure.
Objectives: This course provides new insights while also refreshing existing knowledge. In addition to all the new information about the IRIS system update, other topics will be addressed, including important IRIS guidelines. This seminar builds on IRIS fundamentals and offers numerous time-saving practical tips on how to efficiently achieve Silver or Gold certification (featuring many exercises and interesting topics for IRIS professionals).
Target group:
This course requires prior IRIS knowledge and experience, such as completing an internal IRIS auditor or IRIS manager training. Additionally, all process owners and process experts are invited to participate if they are focused on the continuous improvement of their company management systems. This seminar complements our Internal IRIS Auditor basic course as well as the former IRIS Manager course. Therefore, we will not repeat the IRIS fundamentals or the content of the previous seminar, as you are expected to already know how to implement all the basic mandatory requirements of ISO 22163 and ISO 9001.
Twenty hours of seminar time is not a lot, so we will primarily focus on updates and those optional processes that were not covered in the first seminar. At the same time, we will address more advanced topics such as configuration management, requirements management, and project management to support you in further developing your RQMS.
Content: Specifically, we will delve into the following topics:
- Understanding the differences between ISO/TS 22163:2017 and ISO 22163:2023, as well as IRIS Certification® Conformity Assessment: 2020 and IRIS Certification® Performance Assessment: 2023.
- Discussion of the impacts of the above-mentioned changes on all mandatory and optional processes, their interactions with other processes, their significance, and priorities during the transition phase.
- Solutions for implementing the revised requirements into business processes (flowcharts).
