Workshop

Planning made easy

Whether you’re on a road bike, gravel bike or mountain bike, a scenic and rideable route is usually essential for a great time on the bike. But how do I find or create the best routes on my mobile or desktop using useful tools such as komoot?

For millions of people, komoot is the key to experiences in nature. From intrepid outdoor adventurers and family hikers to beginners who’ve just bought their first road bike – the technology enables everyone to find, plan and enjoy suitable outdoor experiences.

In this workshop, Sara will show you the basics you need to plan and record your routes in future using komoot. She’ll explain how you can draw inspiration from existing routes and adapt them to your needs, what you need to do to plan your own route, and what to bear in mind to ensure that both the planning and the subsequent exploration of the route are enjoyable.

Prerequisites: Suitable for everyone, no prior knowledge required

What to bring: Please bring your mobile phone to the workshop and ideally create a free komoot account before the workshop.

Language: The workshop will be held in German, but Sara also speaks English and French.

Liability/Insurance:
Insurance is the responsibility of the participants; the organisers accept no liability. The organiser accepts no liability – see terms and conditions of participation.

The ticket is personalised and cannot be exchanged or refunded.

Speaker: Sara Bukies, the brains behind the gravELLE club
Sara loves exploring destinations near and far, familiar and unknown, preferably by bike. She doesn’t mind carrying everything she needs for the journey: She has discovered that it’s actually quite good to limit yourself to the bare essentials and that you don’t really need that much when you’re on the go. You can also find her tour reports and routes on her komoot profile. She loves sharing her knowledge, which is why she organises gravel rides and bikepacking adventures with the gravELLE club for FLINTA* people and, from time to time, for mixed groups (+FRIENDS). Her aim is to create a space for riders who, on the one hand, don’t yet have much experience with gravel and bikepacking, and, on the other hand, for riders who may already be very experienced but simply want to ride with women from time to time.
