Want to make a difference for cycling in your local area? The ‘Get Active for Cycling’ workshop at Cycle Week will show you how to go about it – we’ll share tips and tricks as well as valuable contacts.
Better cycling infrastructure doesn’t just fall from the sky: it emerges where people want to make a difference. At our “Get Active for Cycling” workshop at Cycle Week, we’ll show you how and where you can make a difference – from local consultation processes to creative actions in public spaces.
Representatives from Pro Velo Zurich and Pro Velo Switzerland will share experiences from their political work and knowledge of current legislation. They will be joined by two activists from Zurich’s cycling community, whose actions demonstrate how ideas can make a difference – even with limited resources.
What can we learn from one another? A great deal. We’ll be working on four case studies and inspiring one another – for safe, continuous and attractive cycle routes in both urban and rural areas.
