Social Ride
The OnGravel Overnighter “From work to work” is a deliberate break from everyday life between two working days. We set off from Zurich in the early evening and leave the city together via quiet side roads and gravel sections. The pace is moderate, with the focus on riding together rather than performance. The round trip on both days is approx. 30km with approx. 450m of elevation gain. The route will be sent to participants in advance as a GPX file.
In the evening, we reach a farm in the surrounding countryside, where we spend the night outdoors. There, we’ll have dinner cooked in a Muurika over the fire. Everyone sleeps in their own tent or bivouac bag. There’s time to settle in, chat and unwind. The next morning, we head back towards Zurich early and round off the tour with coffee, overnight oats and banana bread at the Vertical Coffee stand – just in time to start the working day feeling refreshed.
Who is this offer suitable for?
Gravel cyclists with a basic level of fitness who want to experience a straightforward overnight stay outdoors. No competitive element; focus on community and everyday practicality.
Age restriction: 18 years and over
Equipment: Gravel bike, helmet, working lights, your own sleeping gear (tent or bivouac), weather-appropriate clothing
Comments:
Guided social ride with overnight stay. Dinner and breakfast (in Zurich) are included. Breakfast on Friday morning will be served upon arrival in Zurich after the ride. Shower facilities available at the Saalsporthalle.
