Bio-Image Data Science with Python

Open training course for PhD students, post-docs, and staff scientists in academia or industry. The course aims at life scientists, biologists, bioengineers or medical scientists with little to no prior programming experience

Training Summary

Course Objectives:

By the end of this 3-day training course, participants will:

  • Understand the fundamentals of Python programming.
  • Gain proficiency in image analysis techniques using Python.
  • Learn the basics of machine learning for biological imaging data.
  • Be able to conduct basic bio-image analysis projects on their own.

Training Methodology:

  • Lectures with interactive discussions.
  • Hands-on coding exercises and projects.
  • Real-life biological data examples and case studies.
  • Instructor-led demonstrations.
  • Q&A sessions for addressing participants' queries.

Prerequisites:

  • No prior programming experience required.
  • Participants should bring their own laptops with Python installed (instructions will be provided).

Materials Provided:

  • Comprehensive course materials (slides, code examples, and datasets).
  • Certificate of completion for participants who meet course requirements.
