Step into the prehistoric past and the tech-powered future with DinoTech Robotics Camp! Designed for curious kids ages 9+, this immersive camp combines the excitement of dinosaurs with the cutting-edge world of robotics using VEX IQ kits. Campers will embark on a STEM journey where they’ll design, build, and program their very own robotic dinosaurs, tackling challenges inspired by the ancient world. From navigating rugged terrains to battling extinction-level events, this camp is packed with hands-on engineering and coding activities that spark creativity and critical thinking.

Example Activities:

• Master Coding & Robotics: Build and Program your dino-bot using VEXcode, learning key coding concepts like loops, sensors, and automation to bring your creation to life.
• Survive the Extinction Event: Program your robot to avoid obstacles and solve problems during simulated natural disasters like volcanic eruptions and asteroid strikes, using sensors and automation to help your creation survive.
• Jurassic Engineering Design Challenge: Tackle exciting dino-themed robotics challenges like "Escape the Lava," "Survive the Asteroid Impact," and "Rescue the Dinosaur Eggs!" Collaborate with teammates to build complex mechanical structures, like dino-egg transport systems or robotic arms that can carry "prehistoric cargo" from one zone to another.
• Dino Obstacle Course: Test the strength and agility of your dino-bot by navigating a prehistoric-themed obstacle course. Program your robot to avoid lava flows, move through rough terrain, and rescue stranded dinos.
• Invent a New Species of Robotic Dinosaurs: Use VEX IQ components, mod your robot to construct creative and innovative dino-bots that walk instead of rolls and bites!
