Are you a Robo-Whiz? Or would you like to become one?
Dive into one of our immersive, hands-on ROBOTICS courses, designed to inspire, engage, and challenge the innovators of tomorrow. Participants will get to explore and program cutting-edge tools in EdTech robotics, including VEX Robotics, Makeblock's cyber-Pi, mBot, or Codey Rocky, to BBC micro:bit, Elecfreak Cutebot, and our very own TechLabs TL1 Swarm Robot.
In these camps and courses, you'll learn the engineering behind how robots and sensors operate, while building, testing, and inventing your own custom robots to tackle a range of exciting challenges. Whether you're a beginner or an aspiring expert, there is a course for you!
Build. Battle. Dominate the Arena.
Step into the arena for a week of high-powered robotic competition! In this advanced-level camp designed just for teens, students will use the VEX IQ platform to design, build, and battle custom robots they create from the ground up. This is not your beginner robotics class — each camper will work individually to engineer a bot tailored for competition, strategy, and all-out mechanical mayhem.
Throughout the week, students will explore advanced building concepts, dive into coding with VEXcode IQ, and optimize their robot’s design and performance as they prepare to face off in head-to-head battles. With daily challenges, iteration time, and a final tournament-style showdown, this is the ultimate test of robotics skill, creativity, and competitive edge.
You’ll learn to:
Design and build a fully custom VEX IQ Battle Bot- including custom 3D designed and printed parts
Code robot behaviors using VEXcode IQ (block or text-based (Python or C++), based on experience)
Apply real-world mechanical engineering and strategic design- learning from pro battle bot designs
Compete in a custom BattleBot-style tournament
This course runs as a weeklong, full day summer camp, Monday through Friday, in our dynamic and collaborative tech-focused innovation centers. Students will be placed in small groups with expert guidance from instructors, while still working individually on their own bots. Daily breaks for outdoor and social activities, including eSports and VR MetaQuest gaming help keep minds fresh and energy high.
Open to teens with prior robotics or coding experience.

Monday: Design Kickoff & VEX IQ Intro
The week begins with an introduction to the arena, the VEX IQ building system, and camp guidelines. Campers will brainstorm bot strategies and start building a drivable base using motors, sensors, and structural elements.
Tuesday: Battle Plan & Build
Time to level up! Students will finalize bot concepts and begin customizing for offense, defense, or agility. They’ll explore advanced components and mechanics, integrating gear systems, arms, bumpers, or other battle-ready attachments. Participants are introduced to OnSHape 3D design and will begin designing custom elements for fabricatin in 3D Printers or Laser Cutting Machines.
Wednesday: Code & Test
Campers will dive into programming with VEXcode IQ, building out driver controls and autonomous functions. They'll test their custom fabricated designs for form, fit, and function. Additional tests for movement, response timing, and sensor feedback while refining their bot’s behavior and battlefield smarts.
Thursday: Tweak, Train & Scrimmage
Bots are put to the test in friendly skirmishes. Campers use what they’ve learned to make last-minute modifications, swap out parts, and iterate on both code and design. Quick thinking and adaptability are key!
Friday: Final Tournament & Showcase
Let the battles begin! Students will enter the arena for a full-day tournament to see whose bot comes out on top. The day wraps up with a final showcase and photo session where students demo their designs and share their biggest wins.

Looking for an exciting and immersive summer camp for your child? Look no further than our brand-new Battle Bot Robotics Camp! We utilize the latest VEX® IQ Robotics technology to teach kids the fundamentals of engineering and design while providing them with an enjoyable experience in the arena.
Campers will collaborate in teams to develop, construct, and program custom motorized battle robots. By applying principles of simple and complex machines, gearing, and mechanical advantage, students will strive to flip, push, or smash their adversary in our ultimate battle arena. With hands-on experience and expert guidance from our experienced staff, your child will cultivate essential problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities that will benefit them for years to come.
VEX® IQ allows you to build complex robots with tons of motors (12 ports!), advanced gears and pulley systems, high-tech sensors, and enhanced controllability. Additionally, VEX® IQ has large, flexible pieces that allow for the construction of bigger, more sophisticated robots.
