Girls and Gears: A STEM Program Just for Girls
Girls and Gears is a fun, hands-on STEM program designed specifically for girls. Students will dive into robotics, creative engineering, digital arts, and coding through exciting, real-world projects that build confidence, creativity, and teamwork.
In this supportive, all-girls environment, participants are encouraged to explore, experiment, and express themselves while developing critical STEM skills. Research shows that girls thrive when given access to practical experiences and strong female role models—Girls and Gears delivers both.
Our mission is to spark curiosity, nurture a strong STEM identity, and provide girls with support on their STEM journey.
Why Girls-Only?
Girls are naturally curious and capable in STEM, yet many begin to lose interest by middle school. A girls-only class creates a space where they feel seen, supported, and inspired. By removing social pressures and stereotypes, Girls and Gears empowers girls to confidently pursue science, technology, engineering, and math—helping close the gender gap and ignite lifelong passion.
