Are you a Robo-Whiz? Would you like to become one?
Join the TechLabs Robotics Lab to learn the skills needed to build and design your own robot. In our course, students will learn to design various things with interesting features like obstacle-avoidance vehicles, route-tracking vehicles, remote control vehicles, robots that crawl, sing & dance, draw, and more.
TechLabs is the exclusive organizing partner for the Global Makeblock MakeX robotics competition in Switzerland and nearby regions. Kids enrolled in this program will also have the opportunity to train to participate in this competition using the latest in STEM robotics technology! Working with the MakeBlock robotics kit, kids design, build, and program robots and develop the innovative-thinking, team-collaboration, and problem-solving skills necessary to succeed in the MakeX challenges. Note that participation in MakeX is not required in order to join the course and experience the thrill of designing a champion robot!
Makeblock supports both mBlock, a drag-and-drop visual programming environment based on Scratch for beginners and Python or C++ for kids ready for additional programming challenges. Our curriculum provides hands-on collaborative and competitive challenges where students build robots and learn about electronics, mechanical design, code development and algorithms.
Notes: Students taking the course for a second time will be exposed to new robotic design challenges.
