This course is an offering in cooperation with our teacher Laura who is currently working on her dissertation. In this course, you will examine texts that address current discourses on memory in post-migrant society in Germany. Weekly readings from novels, essay collections, lyrical texts, and films will be discussed based on specific topics and key questions. No prior knowledge is needed, and no preparation for the individual sessions is necessary. Please note that the sessions of this course will be audio-recorded and subsequently used for academic purposes. Of course, all data will be treated anonymously and no names will appear. Participants should have completed level B2 or should currently be enrolled in a B2 class.
