QURI SDK is a comprehensive software development kit designed to streamline the research and development of quantum computing algorithms. Using a user-friendly Python interface, users can efficiently develop, simulate, and evaluate quantum algorithms across various architectures and devices.
The workshop will provide a practical deep dive into:
QURI Parts: Learn the core open-source library that provides the fundamental building blocks for constructing advanced quantum algorithms.
QURI VM: Understand how to evaluate and simulate algorithm performance, including an introduction to tools for circuit transpilation and quantum resource estimation.
The QSCI Algorithm Family: While QURI ALGO supports a broad range of methods, this session focuses on QSCI (Quantum Selected Configuration Interaction)—including Adapt-QSCI, TE-QSCI, and Lossy-QSCI—tailored for quantum-classical hybrid systems.
Hands-on Labs: Participants will use Jupyter Notebook instances to gain practical experience with QSCI for ground state calculations.
FTQC Development: We will explore Qsub, a specialized library for Fault-Tolerant Quantum Computing (FTQC) subroutine development, and briefly cover the "scaffolding" feature for automated code generation.
This training is designed for researchers, students, and developers who are already familiar with the basics of quantum computing and are looking to transition from theoretical knowledge to practical implementation on near-term and early-FTQC hardware.
Content is presented in interactive sessions with demos and hands-on exercises. Participants are expected to bring their own laptops. There are no PCs installed in the seminar room!
The content level of the course is broken down as:
