This spiritual journey takes you to the high Andes of Peru and especially the sacred mountain Ausangate. He plays a very special role for the indigenous people of Cusco as he is one of the big protector mountains. Ausangate watches over the people like a shepherd watches over his sheep.
The special thing about this trip is that there is no fixed timetable and no choreography - everything can happen and a lot will happen.
This expedition will take you up to 5,200m (17.050 ft), but don't worry: we will take this ascent easy, on the back of kind horses, with a mountain guide and a variety of helpers.
From the small town of Pacchanta this spiritual journey will take you to the beautiful mountain lakes Azul Qocha and Otorongo Qocha, from there over the Pukha Punta pass to the Rainbow Mountain (the mountain of the seven colors) and finally back to Cusco.
Enjoy the rough and spectacular natural landscape in which you can experience the indigenous spirituality of the high Andes in a natural and original way. During this journey you will learn to connect with the mountains, the water and the energies of nature in order to drive power into your life.
You will work intensively with Inca priests who accompany us during the journey.
You'll receive initiations and take part in energetic cleansings as well as in authentic ceremonies. You will learn the knowledge of the Incas first-hand from people who are among the top priests of this tradition.
In addition, this trip offers you deep insights of the culture, the country and the people.
Throughout the whole journey, you will be in contact with Mother Earth, nature and powerful spirits. You will connect with the energies of the mountains, the water and famous power places, you will nourish your Inca seed (the center of your personality and your potential) and let it blossom.
You will experience the beauty of the high Andes, feel the power of the mountains and understand how the Inca tradition helped these people to survive this harsh environment over the last 500 years.
Probably no other spiritual journey provides this unique combination of experiencing the Andean mountains, practicing this genuine spirituality, participating in ceremonies and receiving powerful initiations from indigenous masters.
Journey to the high Andes
At noon we arrive at the starting point of our spiritual expedition - a small place with hot springs and a few houses. The helpers set up the dining tent while the cook prepares lunch.
Together with our mountain guide and our Inca masters, we start towards Azul Qocha, a beautiful mountain lake.
On the way we pass a lake with a male energy. The Paqos say this water has no ground and is directly connected to Q'eros. There we do a very special little ceremony with wine, pisco and sacred words.
A short distance further we reach a second lake with a female energy. There we do our first despacho, a typical Inca ceremony in the style of a mandala.
Pukha Punta Pass and Ccampa
Early in the morning the cook prepares a wonderful breakfast for us, afterwards we start the second day heading for Otorongo Qocha.
We ask the Apus, the spirits of the mountains, for their support and ride on the back of our horses to the next destination, a beautiful mountain lake.
Around noon we will reach the highest point of our trip, the Pukha Punta Pass (5,200m / 17,050 ft).
There the masters do a little ritual and ask the mountains as well as Father Wind and Father Sun to guide us for the rest of the day. In the afternoon arrival at our campsite, where the helpers have already set up our tents.
Palomani Pass and Ausangate Qocha
After breakfast we start our day in flat terrain - you can easily walk if you prefer to do so. After a while we take a break and perform a K'intu ceremony with our masters. Then there is time for an exciting question and answer session.
On the way to our next destination we pass an old, abandoned house, where our cook prepares a phantastic lunch. We will be ascending to Palomani Pass at 5,100m / 16,750 ft, from there you will have a breathtaking view of the mountains and the valley.
After the Inca masters performed a little ceremony with us, we will descend to our camp near a beautiful lake at the foot of the Ausangate mountain. There we will experience a very special despacho and afterwards can experience how it is ceremoniously handed over to the water.
Puca Punta and Chilca
In the morning, before the sun rises, we have breakfast.
Today we will make our way to the Puca Punta Pass, a wonderful viewpoint of the high Andes. We have a lot of time and can take it easy. With a bit of luck we will even come across a herd of alpacas.
Later we enjoy the freshly prepared lunch in the dining tent and then slowly ride to our campsite in Chilca.
There we will make a despacho ceremony with the Inca masters, in which the male and female energies are harmonized and then transferred to our energy field in the form of a blessing.
Then we give this beautiful mandala into the fire and burn it.
Rainbow Mountain and Cusco
Today you will experience another highlight of this trip: the Rainbow Mountain or Apu Winicunca as the native-speaking people call him.
Early in the morning we take our horses and ride up to Rainbow Mountain. We will try hard to be the first visitors of the day to greet this mountain and feel his enormous energy.
Here we have enough time for photos and energy exercises.
Afterwards we return to the campsite and have a wonderful breakfast there. Our helpers then dismantle the tents, we say goodbye to the horse guides and the people who have accompanied us in the past few days.
The bus takes us back to Cusco, where we arrive around 6pm. We check-in to our hotel and meet for our farewell dinner.
After breakfast we say goodbye to all participants - the second part of MAGICAL PERU is now officially over.

We are happy to organize a pick-up for you from Cusco Airport. Experience has shown that a taxi to the city centre costs about 8-10 US$ per person or about 15 US$ per taxi. The driver is paid in cash.
In case you are not participating in Magical Peru (part 1) it is imperative that you spend at least three full days in Cusco (or a similar altitude) prior to the start of this journey to allow your body to adjust to the unfamiliar altitude. If you cannot ensure this preparation at 3,000m to 3,500m (9,850 ft to 11,500 ft) int time, we will have to exclude you from this trip for your own safety. In this case there will be no reimbursement.
If you need accommodation in Cusco, we recommend https://booking.com as it lists almost all hotels in the city and you can quickly find a suitable hotel based on the pictures and the current price.
The journey ends in Cusco on Sept 1 after breakfast. If you need a taxi to the airport, we will be happy to organize it for you - the driver is paid in cash.
Magical Peru (part 2) will take place if at least 5 persons have registered until May 1, 2021. Therefore, please book flights and other services only after you have received written confirmation from us that this trip wll actually take place.
On all flights to Cusco with a stopover in Lima, suitcases must be picked up in Lima, as the customs control takes place there (as of Sept. 2017). Then the suitcases for the onward flight to Cusco need to be checked in again at the counter of the respective airline. Therefore, consider in Lima a stopover time of at least 3 hours if you fly to Lima on a European / US airline and travel on the same day from there with a local airline to Cusco. For domestic flights we recommend the airlines LATAM, LC Peru, Avianca, Peruvian and Viva Air.
We definitely do not recommend Star Peru as their fleet is outdated and often can not take off or land in fog or bad weather. As a result, you'll run the risk of arriving late at your destination.
Peru's cuisine is famous for its variety and quality. A vegetarian diet is easily possible there, vegan food, however, is unknown in many places. In Cusco itself, for example, there are only one or two vegan restaurants, in most hotels and especially outside the city none, so we can not guarantee vegan food on this trip.
We recommend that participants with food intolerances (gluten, cow's milk, sugar, fruits or vegetables, etc.) bring along essential staples - we will try to deal with each and every one of them with the service staff, but unfortunately we can not guarantee this in advance.
From Aug 28 to Aug 31 we spend the nights in tents. These tents are set up by helpers every day and dismantled the next day. We provide sleeping pads, sleeping bags and liners (inner sleeping bags made of fleece). The last night from August 31 to Sept 1 we spend in Cusco in a nice 3-star hotel close to the city center.
You will find general travel information, safety instructions, entry requirements, medical information in Peru and more on the website of the website of your county's Foreign Office. Germany's administration for example states, that passports must be valid for at least 6 months when entering Peru.
When traveling to the designated yellow fever endemic areas of Peru, in particular for the entire Peruvian Amazon, all travelers need to be vaccinated. Coming from Peru, vaccination may be required if you travel to a third country (information: as of January 2017).
Please note that you will NOT visit the Amazon areas during this trip.
Since life is not always predictable, we strongly recommend that you take out a travel cancellation insurance. In many cases this insurance will pay for cancellation fees and therefore save you from financial consequences in case you have to cancel the trip. In addition, a health insurance is certainly necessary, an accident insurance makes sense (but is not mandatory).
Two to three months before the start of the journey, we will send you detailed information, including a list of all hotels, a packing list including recommendations, and detailed information on weather/ climate, clothing, cash/ currency, Internet/ WIFI, adapters/ power and more.
All of Inka World's events are associated with significant financial obligations, such as booking and transaction fees, marketing and travel expenses, car, bus or hotel rentals. Since groups are not large and we use a considerable time on counseling and answering questions, Inka World will charge cancellation fees in the event that you cancel your participation before the start of the event.
These cancellation fees are based on the time of your cancellation and are staggered as follows:
In case you can not attend the event, you are free to organize a substitute. As soon as this replacement person paid the participation fee in full, you will receive a reimbursement minus a processing fee of 50,- EUR. We will not reimburse bank charges for refunding the participation fee.
