We are travelling far up into the far north. We start our journey in Bodø, the southern gateway to the Lofoten Islands and northern Norway. Here we are already north of the Arctic Circle. We now sail up the Vestfjorden between Lofoten and the Norwegian mainland in stages towards Tromsø. Not only will we experience the imposing Lofoten Wall up close, but we will also be able to get to know the country and its people directly during numerous stops. Through the winding fairways north of the Lofoten Islands, we then head up to the ‘Paris of the North’. This is exactly what the Norwegians call the tranquil yet lively Tromsø. Numerous expeditions to the Arctic and Spitsbergen have departed from here in recent decades. The famous polar explorer Roald Amundsen also set off from here on his last voyage. A maritime atmosphere and living history also await us in the numerous museums and exhibitions. Book your berth or cabin now and experience this extraordinary adventure on our exclusively equipped expedition yacht POLARIS.
Expected course of the trip:
We sail with the POLARIS from Bodø through the Vestfjorden to the north. On numerous stopovers in the middle of the fascinatingly beautiful Lofoten archipelago, you will experience the Nordic nature and way of life at first hand. Depending on the wind and weather, our route then takes us either further through the wonderful fjords of northern Norway or around the outside of the island of Senja. We finally reach Tromsø, the centre of the north. From here, you will travel comfortably back to Germany by flight. Depending on the weather and the schedule, it may be necessary to cover longer sections of the journey under engine power. Total distance: approx. 250 nautical miles.
This extraordinary trip is led by our professional skipper Simon Eder.

Information on arrival and departure:
When planning your journey, please note the different departure and destination ports (Bodø -> Tromsø). You can reach Bodø (BOO) quickly and easily by flight via Oslo. Oslo (OSL) itself can be reached by direct flight from Frankfurt, Munich, Amsterdam and Brussels. The return journey from Tromsø is usually a direct flight. In this respect, we recommend the usual booking portals for your research. Sometimes it also makes sense to search for flights directly on the websites of the relevant airlines to obtain additional allotments or a cheaper price. You can also find an overview of all Norwegian airports, including the connections available from there, at Avinor.
