Our journey begins in the ‘Paris of the North’. This is exactly what the Norwegians call the tranquil yet lively Tromsø. Numerous expeditions to the Arctic and Spitsbergen have departed from here in recent decades. The famous polar explorer Roald Amundsen also set off from here on his last voyage. A maritime atmosphere and living history await us. We continue through the partly open but also narrow inland waterways and fjords of northern Norway towards Lofoten. The famous mountain range is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and oldest landscapes on our planet. Rugged mountains, deep fjords, unspoilt nature and, last but not least, fascinating wildlife are just some of the highlights that await you on this trip. Last but not least, you will not experience this adventure on just any ship, but on our exclusively equipped expedition yacht POLARIS. An experience that will stay with you for a long time.
Expected course of the trip:
We sail with the POLARIS from Tromsø southwards along the wild, rugged fjord landscapes of northern Norway. On numerous stopovers in the midst of the fascinatingly beautiful landscape, you will experience the Nordic nature and way of life at first hand. Depending on the wind and weather, our route then takes us either through the marvellous inner waters or around the outside of the island of Senja. With the imposing Lofoten Wall always in view, we finally reach the Lofoten centre of Bodø. From here, you can take a comfortable flight home or continue your journey. Depending on the weather and the schedule, it may be necessary to cover longer sections of the journey under engine power. Total distance: approx. 250 nautical miles.
This extraordinary trip is led by our professional skipper Simon Eder.

Information on arrival and departure:
When planning your journey, please note the different departure and destination ports (Tromsø -> Bodø). You can reach Tromsø quickly and easily by direct flight or via Oslo. Oslo (OSL) itself can be reached by direct flight from Frankfurt, Munich, Amsterdam and Brussels. The return journey from Bodø is also via Oslo as a stopover. In this respect, we recommend the usual booking portals for your research. Sometimes it also makes sense to search for flights directly on the websites of the relevant airlines to obtain additional allotments or a cheaper price. For Norway, this is usually the airline SAS. You can also find an overview of all Norwegian airports, including the connections available from there, at Avinor.
