1300 nautical miles from the Azores to Ireland await you! Another mileage cruise to gain experience in tidal waters but also long-distance miles. Our journey takes us from the Azores island of Faial on a direct course to Ireland. There is a very good chance of seeing whales up close around the Azores. The destination of our journey will be the Irish capital Dublin after around 13 days at sea. Weather and schedule permitting, we will of course make a stopover or two on our way to the Azores and the Irish coast. From Dublin you can then start your journey home or onwards in comfort and without complications. Expected course of the trip:

We sail with the POLARIS from Horta on the Azorean island of Faial in a north-easterly direction. Depending on the wind and weather, we will need around 8 to 9 days for the approximately 1300 nautical mile crossing. Possible stopovers on our long journey include the Azores islands of Sao Jorge, Santo Antao and Graciosa. In Ireland, further stops on the south coast such as Cork are possible. The final destination of our journey is the Irish metropolis of Dublin. From here you can then take a comfortable flight home. Depending on the weather and the schedule, it may be necessary to cover longer sections of the journey by plane. Please also note that this is an offshore transfer cruise, which can also be subject to adverse weather conditions and the associated stresses and strains. • Professional ship management and supervision by two experienced professional skippers. All crew members receive a comprehensive on-board and safety briefing.

• Use of all on-board facilities of our expedition yacht POLARIS, e.g. central heating, bathrooms, WI-FI, satellite telephone (only for offshore trips), water maker, generator, 220 V on-board power, area guide, nautical charts, etc.

• Not included are Costs for travelling to and from the destination, costs for provisions, drinks, diesel, demurrage, fees incurred and other undertakings. With the exception of travel costs, these expenses are allocated to the on-board fund, to which all guests contribute equally. The main skipper is also catered for from the on-board fund. Please note the different departure and destination ports (Horta -> Dublin) when planning your trip. You can reach Horta (HOR) quickly and easily by flight via Lisbon. Lisbon (LIS) itself can be reached by direct flight from Frankfurt, Munich, Amsterdam and Brussels. The return journey from Dublin is usually by direct flight to Germany from the international airport there.In this respect, we recommend the usual booking portals for your research.
