ICELAND WEST - Reykjavik to Reykjavik

Our dream cruise starts on the island of fire, Iceland. From the capital Reykjavik, we will explore the west coast, depending on the wind and weather, and also take a detour or two to the north and south sides of the archipelago. Possible destinations include the gigantic Ísafjarðarbær in the northwest and the equally impressive island paradises around Breiðafjörður and Faxaflói. In addition to the fascinatingly beautiful nature, we can also marvel at Iceland's rich fauna. Depending on the available infrastructure, we will make numerous stopovers in larger and smaller harbors as well as at anchor during our trip. Depending on interest and possibility, shore excursions can of course also be planned and undertaken. Our adventure then ends again in Reykjavik after 12 days. Book your berth or cabin now and experience this extraordinary adventure on our exclusively equipped expedition yacht POLARIS.

Expected course of the trip:

We sail with the POLARIS from Reykjavik along the western coast of Iceland. Our destinations there include the western fjord landscapes around Ísafjarðarbær, Breiðafjörður and Faxaflói. Depending on the wind, weather and infrastructure, there are numerous stopovers and shore excursions on the program. From Reykjavik, you can then take a comfortable direct flight home to Germany. Depending on the weather and the schedule, it may be necessary to cover longer sections of the journey by plane. Total distance: approx. 350 nautical miles.

This extraordinary trip is led by our two professional skippers Uwe Heißel and Guido Dwersteg.

Information on arrival and departure:

You can reach Reykjavik quickly and easily by flying to Keflavik International Airport (KEF). Most flights are operated via Frankfurt, Düsseldorf or Hamburg. The return journey is also from Reykjavík. In this respect, we recommend the relevant booking portals Swoodoo and Opodo for your research. Sometimes it also makes sense to search for flights directly on the websites of the relevant airlines to find additional allotments or a cheaper price.
