StoryLab – Your multilingual writing space for creativity and self-expression

StoryLab is all about the power of language and the joy of writing. Children and young people aged between 9 and 14 have the opportunity to invent their own stories, try out new forms of expression and consolidate their writing and language skills in a playful way.

Participants are accompanied by a multilingual workshop leader who connects different linguistic worlds and gives everyone space – regardless of which language is spoken at home. This makes StoryLab a place where diversity, imagination and creativity come together.

Target group:

Children and young people aged between 9 and 14 – multilingual participants are very welcome

When?
Every first and third Tuesday of the month from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Organisers/institution:

• MMag.a Dr.in Bediha YILDIZ is a freelance writing coach and language trainer in Innsbruck. After studying law and political science in Innsbruck, she worked for many years at ZeMiT as a consultant and lecturer at MCI (social work) and as a language trainer at Inlingua. Creative work of all kinds is an integral part of her life and connects everything for her. Reading, writing and learning languages are her intellectual nourishment. That is why her passion is her profession, which she enjoys using to help others. At the age of 14, she came to Innsbruck from Ankara, Türkiye, as part of a family reunification programme and is therefore familiar with all the hurdles on the path to learning German. This has also taught her that language in general is a key to success.
