LET’S TAKE A GLOBAL VIEW: guided by the moderator, participants take turns to research and present some of the challenges of our time, which are then debated by the whole group.

Kursinhalte

In 2022-23, our theme ''Is democracy in peril?'' led us to discuss current affairs, including the war in Ukraine and its possible consequences. For 2023-24, the theme ''Geopolitics tomorrow'' will allow us to look at some of the major challenges we face, as well as those our children and grandchildren may have to deal with.

Vorgehen, Methode, Einbezug der Teilnehmenden

At the first session, participants are asked to choose topics from a list provided by the moderator. Each chosen topic is prepared and presented by a group of 2 or 3 participants. Before its session, each small group sends a brief summary to the moderator, who is available for advice by email or SMS. The purpose of this seminar, conducted in English, is to heighten awareness about major challenges of our time, their complex interactions, and how they impact our lives.
